Altar

The present Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Roger Yambao added wooden curvings guilded in gold and silver paint at the altar. The original was just kept inside, also the tabernacle was taken out to fit on a new design. The "ambo" is another addition to complete the design. First step the parish did for the restoration of the retablo mayor.

Inserted photo is a close_up shot of one of the angels at the altar standing and holding lights. The angels were formerly painted with light colors, to date they were all in white. The restoration of the old retablo mayor will be of help to return the finnest color of these elements.

Kampo Santo

"Kampo Santo" local term for memorial park. Saint Anne Memorial Park is one of the oldest park of the town. The park is located at Baranggay Santa Lucia (Kalinan). Photo shows the structure built on its gate. During my highschool here is where we run for the track and field event for HCC doesn't have an oval. The roadnetwork of which was the track for runners. And during All Saints Day here is where we went to light up a candle for our love ones.

Majiganga

Majiganga is a local term for giant. The art showcases a gigantic puppet for the awe of those following the procession. Believed to origin at Santa Ana. Sad plot of the story was there was only a single person in San Joaquin who still continues to make one. The above photo was his masterpiece.

Bale (Haus)

Probably the oldest amongst the houses here at Santa Ana. I have been to places of the town yet this one caught my attention. Located at the heart of Sta. Maria (locally known as "Balen Bayu"), move forward when you get to the old chapel. Many told stories of which for the house really look old.

Inserted photo was their altar Image, said to be miraculous. Their Chapel they do not close for those who visits the Image.

Pisamban XII

San Jose Talapagobra Church (Floridablanca Pampanga)

Floridablanca meant white flowers. One of the bordertowns after Guagua Pampanga. During my research, sources said that there was a sugar mill then there (at present there were no remains left). Basa Air Base is one of it's landmark which still has those old fighter aircraft on display. Church stands apart from the main road network. Relatively small in size, havin painted over. The church undergoes series of renovations. The new retablo mayor features the original Images which were restored.

Photo taken during the SINGKASIKAN '07. special thanks to Dianne Patawaran for the photos here featured.
